Nick and Jess come to town...

This weekend my good buddy and classmate Nick is up to visit with his wife Jess. Copenhagen has a lot going on this weekend so it is sure to be a good time.

MTV is in town for the Euopean music awards and last night marked the start of the Christmas season for Denmark. We celebrated at a pub that was participating in the traditional Tuborg Christmas brew release. Every year on the first weekend of November, Tuborg, a local large brewery, releases their winter brew with a big celebration. A number of participating pubs around town are packed and at exactly 8:59 pm, a truck drives up and out comes the Tuborg team cheering, giving out shirts, and delivering the beer. It was a good time.

Today we are exploring the city and will visit the Carlsberg Brewery - Denmark's largest brewer.
